How can I install my battery myself?

  1. Your battery should be stored close to your alarm system.
  2. Call CAP and let them know you will be changing your battery
  3. Ensure you are using a battery of the same size as the original
  4. Remove plastic wrapped around the new battery
  5. Disconnect the old battery – this can be done by removing the wires from the terminals (Tip! Take a picture of how the wires are connect to each terminal)
  6. You should be able to disconnect the wires easily by using your hands
  7. Connect the wires to the new battery terminal
  8. Do not put the battery in upside down – the writing on the battery should face the right way.
  9. Do a test – turn your power off and call CAP.
